By design the house floor plan was laid out so any noise from bedrooms would be buffered and not transfer to other bedrooms. Soundproof walls and soundproof floors were also installed in select places to assure that someone flushing a toilet upstairs would not wake up a guest sleeping downstairs. Even the plumbing pipes in the walls were wrapped with sound deadener and then insulated before being encased within plywood all before drywall was installed.
